On October 1st, at Centrul Cultural Carmen Sylva in Sinaia, we continued the Zile cu Sens – Artă în Mișcare marathon with an event dedicated to seniors in the community.
This time, the experience was built around creativity and the meeting of generations.
Seniors took part in painting and music activities alongside students from Colegiul „Mihail Cantacuzino", in a warm, open setting where interaction came naturally.
It was a space where age differences no longer mattered, and the conversations, smiles, and moments created together forged real connections.
The event was organized by Asociația POT SĂ AJUT, with the support of Asociația Provident pentru Educație and Provident Financial România, as part of the Invizibilii program.
Why it matters
One of the biggest gaps between generations isn't a lack of desire to communicate, but a lack of contexts in which people can meet naturally.
Through activities like those in Zile cu Sens, we create such contexts — where seniors and young people:
- interact naturally
- learn from one another
- build relationships beyond age differences
Experiences like this help reduce isolation and create a real sense of belonging.

About Artă în Mișcare
The event in Sinaia is part of the marathon organized for the International Day of Older Persons, held simultaneously in several cities across Romania.
The Artă în Mișcare concept brings together different forms of expression — dance, theatre, music, painting — as tools through which seniors can stay active and connected.
Nationwide, more than 800 seniors took part in activities built around art and social interaction.
Impact
Initiatives like this create contexts where people feel seen, heard, and appreciated.
Through intergenerational meetings, participants:
- share their experiences
- develop openness toward others
- build authentic relationships
- rediscover the joy of creating
These experiences contribute to a more connected, more balanced community.
