Project details
- Date: April 10, 2025
- Location: Geo Bogza Municipal House of Culture, Câmpina
With the support of Asociația Provident pentru Educație and Provident Financial România, we organized a new edition of the Zile cu Sens program — this time at Casa Municipală de Cultură Geo Bogza in Câmpina.
On April 10th, we brought together 80 young people and seniors for a day full of learning, emotion, and connection. In an increasingly digital society, digital literacy is becoming essential to reduce social isolation and support the inclusion of older people. According to the Invizibilii study, more than 1.2 million pensioners in Romania are at risk of poverty and social exclusion — many of them without support, without access to technology, and often invisible to society.
Digital education across generations
We started the day with an intergenerational digital education workshop, where we talked about online safety, how to spot scam messages, and how technology can become real support in seniors' day-to-day lives. It was a gathering where participants listened to each other, learned from one another, and supported each other. Students from Liceul Tehnologic Energetic Câmpina were fantastic volunteers and a real support for the seniors — helping them with patience and dedication, offering them not just explanations, but also confidence.
Traditions that bring people together
At the end of the workshop, we enjoyed a special artistic moment: a performance by local folk ensembles, coordinated by Mrs. Ofelia-Florica Haranguș, featuring both children and seniors on stage. It was more than a performance — it was a celebration of the community and of the bonds that give life meaning.
About Zile cu Sens
Zile cu Sens is a program dedicated to seniors across Romania. We want to support active aging and social integration through digital literacy workshops, recreational activities, and cultural moments that promote solidarity between generations. Our goal is to give seniors the tools they need to navigate the digital world and stay connected with family, friends, and the community.
I really enjoyed today, it felt like a unique experience. I like helping older people, seniors, because I have grandparents too, and I think they should also keep up with technology so they can communicate with us.
Eduard, volunteer from the local community
I liked that it's aimed at both older and younger people. Being involved in this activity helped us too, and I hope we get to do many more activities together

We continue together
The feedback we received showed us how much this day mattered. Seniors felt supported, seen, and encouraged to stay active. Many of them told us they can't wait for our next gathering.
Zile cu Sens is about people, about trust, dignity, and a better life. About how much we can learn from one another, no matter our age.
If you want to find out more about upcoming events or sign up for the next workshop, follow our Facebook page for updates. Be part of the „Zile cu Sens" community and help us build a network of active, connected seniors!
So far, more than 2,800 children, parents, and seniors from 13 counties have taken part in our events under the Invizibilii program. By the end of the year, we aim to reach 4,000 beneficiaries through creative, inclusive actions with real impact.
